This depends on what parts you're working on. In some cases like the fuselage you'd probably want to paint the parts before assembly. Other things like the cockpit you may want to paint as a sub-assembly and install them as a unit.

Due to the large expanse of plastic involved with the molding process of the wing, there can sometimes be a slight deformity during the cooling process of the plastic. This should not be a problem as usually wrapping rubber bands around the assembly and letting the glue dry will correct the problem....
